When trying to add the Operations Manager mangement group settings to the SCOM agent in Service Manager 2012 SP1, i was shown the following error “The Management Group configuration could not be saved” error“.
To fix this you would need to check the registry for previous Management group regkeys and remove old them.
you can find the Management Group regkeys under the following path:
Regedit:
HKLM:\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\HealthService\Parameters\Management Groups\ (name of management group)
